Hannah's story

Hannah
Hannah
Senior Risk Facilitator

Shortly after joining the Trust I enrolled onto ‘The School of Healthcare Radicals’ which has inspired me to explore change and transformation to improve services.

Sussex Community has supported me to realise my ambitions and has provided me with lots of opportunities to develop and gain experience. So far I’ve undertaken the NHS Leadership Academy Edward Jenner Programme and the Agile Project Management Course.

I currently work with the Risk and Quality Governance Team – full of enthusiastic and dynamic colleagues where we are encouraged to share ideas around how we can effectively raise the profile of risk management and highlight its intrinsic link to patient safety.

I really believe in the power of networking and I’ve joined some online forums including the NHS Improvement Hub and the Edge to understand how innovation is curated, led and implemented in the NHS at both a local and national level.

I hope one day to be part of a team that brings quality improvement to life on a national scale. My end goal is to be either a Chief Executive or Executive Lead for Strategy and Transformation.

Outside of work I love dancing – in particular Latin and ballroom and I enjoy watching Strictly Come Dancing. I also go to Zumba and the gym when I can!
